Interactive Program Exhibition for Professionals Fall 2021

On November 8, GAIT’s Advisory Council held an event for professionals in Special Needs, Mental Health, Education, and firefighters/first responders. Participants not only learned about GAIT’s offerings, but experienced their benefits as well through hands on exercises with two of GAIT’s horses. The event was well received and it served to inform our local professionals of a quality resource for which to refer their clients.

Second 2021 ESMHL

The second of two Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning workshops was held September 28 through October 1 with 9 participants. The workshop includes lecture, role play with and without horses, and an obstacle course. All activities are done unmounted. In a role play, Ms Martha beautifully portrayed a runaway horse uncomfortable with being approached aggressively.

GAIT Awarded Grant from Greater Pike Community Foundation: Richard L. Snyder Fund

GAIT is grateful to the Richard L. Snyder Fund at Greater Pike Community Foundation for awarding us a grant to beautify GAIT’s buildings and property. The grant monies will allow us to repaint the stable, fix fences, and repair stalls.

Greater Pike Community Foundation was created to enable generous individuals, families, and local businesses to maximize their charitable support through organized, targeted, long-term community philanthropy. The Foundation provides a permanent and personal way to give back to the region we love and have worked so hard to nurture and maintain.
