Donate A Horse

Therapeutic riding and our other equine assisted services can be both mentally and physically challenging for our equine partners, and we are always on the lookout for new members to join our herd. For a horse to be successful in our programs, it should have the following qualities.

  • Easy going disposition/temperament
  • Good ground manners
  • Tolerant of unpredictable/loud/unbalanced riders
  • Sound at the walk, trot and canter
  • 12-22 years old
  • 14.2-16 hh
  • Willingness to have a leader/side aide(s)
  • Preferably barefoot
  • Limited medical/supplemental needs
  • Can carry up to180 lbs.
  • Can be ridden independently by an appropriate rider
  • Can be used in both mounted and unmounted activities
